Right folks the time came for an update but after many takes and much rambling I got there. So you will find out about the new workshop soon… but not today😅

However I thought all these odd clips of me just being rather whimsical might just make someone’s day a bit more cheery. So despite this being a somewhat professional account I thought I’d show my more usual unprofessional side, which most who know me would probably say ‘yep that’s more like Billy’. So I hope you enjoy the nonsense from this blacksmith and I promise a real update on the new forge is on the way!

BIG NEWS!
.
That’s a wrap folks, after 3 years full time in my current workshop, countless products and over 30 commissions of various sizes this workshop has had its last day as a functional forge. It’s come about very suddenly and I will always thank this space for making Bills Workshop what it is today. It has taken care of me as I have evolved the business and myself, I cannot thank all of you who have helped and supported bills workshop over the years but the time has finally come for an upgrade.
.
That’s right we are moving location to a larger more purpose built space which will allow Bills Workshop to undertake all the mad ideas rattling around in my head from new courses to sculptures and commissions!
.
So again thank you to friends, family, clients and all of you who continue to support my business. I will endeavour to show you the transition from our current premises to our new one based on the border of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire!
.

2024 WHAT A BLAST
.
Last year was a year of complete madness across the board with more things going on than I care to count. It had massive highs and was deep delta blues in both personal and professional life but from the highs there is a few special mentions!

1. Stonor park country craft fair with hills workshop front and center as the blacksmith demonstrator for @countrycraftshows
2. Courses have finally taken off with a huge amount of work behind these scenes that have helped to keep bills workshop running with a big thanks to @pathhilloutdoors for the support!
3. Coffee Scoops! Have sold fast this winter and are wonderful things to make, practicing different forging skills
4. Garden Sculpture course continues to be the best seller open the door of metal work to even more people
5. Running workshops for @makerscentral with the finest smiths from @thornwoodforge which was the most hilarious and hectic weekend with @moonshinemetalworks, @wolf_and_bison
6. The industrial banister commission, a huge amount of work with @tom_blacksmith_2211 which led to one of my best creations ever!
7. Wooden Awls bringing a new design to an age old product with my ethos of simplistic sleek design to leatherwork.
8. Salad Severs, another surprising best seller at winter markets forged from stainless steel and copper
9. The Kitchen Unit commission with @live_edge_design with walnut, oak and steel to create one of the best pieces of furniture we have ever had the pleasure of helping create!
10. Christmas markets! Taking a step back on commissions to focus on new products. With a special nod to @sandylanefarm, and the Henely Christmas market that I did with @tish.paints organised by @thecreativeduck

COFFEE SCOOP

A neat and modern scoop forged from stainless steel with the addition of copper or brass elements makes these scoops like no other. With a planished bow and a traditional riveted construction they make the perfect handmade edition to the kitchen counter.

It can be used for coffee, loose tea, hot chocolate or just as an ergonomic scoop to use with baking. The level capacity of the scoop is exactly 20ml mean it can be used for a measure too in baking and cooking!

STOCK PRODUCTION

Christmas is a busy time for most independent makers and small business’s and our workshop is no different. With 12 market days, 7 courses in the build up to Christmas stock production and course preparation doesn’t stop!

This year we have gone for more courses and more craft events than ever before and don’t plan on slowing down just because its getting chilly!
We have got new products on the way from coffee sets to cocktail sets, hand forged luxury is our take on Christmas gifting this year!

STONOR COUNTRY CEAFT SHOW

This weekend come and see the largest outdoor country craft show in Henley on themes with over 200 stands and stalls!
.
Come and see Bills Workshop once again located front and center for my live blacksmithing demonstrations with hammer, anvil and probably a small dash of humour when possible! I will be conducting 2 demos per day and thee will be plenty to look at on our stand! Come and say hi!

The event itself is world class led by the brilliant team @countrycraftshows who always succeed in putting on a fantastic country show @stonorpark!
